Privacy Policy

1. What Kiddo stores

Kiddo stores family information you choose to add, such as child profiles, school schedules, pickup reminder settings, mood check-ins, memories, savings goals, game scores, photos, videos, and local app preferences.

2. Local-first design

The iOS app is designed to save data locally first. When backend sync is enabled, selected family backups and snapshot assets may be sent to the Kiddo backend so your data can be restored or managed across installs.

3. Telemetry

Kiddo collects privacy-first operational telemetry such as feature usage, sync status, errors, app version, OS version, AI success or failure, and notification scheduling. Kiddo telemetry should not include raw child notes, raw email bodies, raw calendar titles, exact GPS coordinates, photo metadata, prompts, API keys, or secrets.

4. AI and school email summaries

If AI features or Gmail school-email ingestion are enabled, Kiddo may process limited context to create summaries, birthday messages, learning prompts, activity ideas, or school action items. Raw school email bodies should not be stored in telemetry.

5. Photos and videos

Photos and videos added to Kiddo may be stored on the device and, when sync is enabled, uploaded to backend storage. Parents and guardians are responsible for choosing what family media to add.

6. Notifications, calendar, and location

Kiddo may request notification, calendar, or location permissions to provide reminders and contextual suggestions. These permissions are controlled by iOS settings and can be disabled by the user.

7. Data controls

Admin tools may support install revocation, family data export, family data deletion, secret redaction, and audit logs. Availability may vary while the product is being tested and improved.

8. Contact

For privacy, deletion, or export requests, contact the Kiddo operator through the support channel listed in the app store listing or admin portal.
